2011 ILD Graduation

On Wednesday 14th December, 17 students graduated from the Institute of Leadership Development (ILD) in Kabul.
Professor Mohammad Osman Baburi, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Higher Education, was there to present diplomas. Mr Sayed Hashim Basirat (Director of NGO Department, Ministry of Economy) and Mr Abdul Azim Noorbakhsh (Spokesman for the Director of Public Relations and Information, Ministry of Higher Education) and colleagues also attended. The aim of the ILD program is to develop a mutually supportive network of leaders who can trust and relate to other leaders.
The students had completed one year of classes in leadership training in English. The course consisted of eight hours per week, for 24 weeks. 12 lecturers from five different countries taught on topics like Leadership Principles, Developing the Leader Within, Emotional Intelligence and Leadership and Strengthfinders.
ILD is run in Kabul as a joint venture between the International Assistance Mission and Morningstar Development. ILD was launched in Kabul in 2010 and also runs in Herat and Faizabad and soon in Mazar.
